blogging can be socially dangerous.

Thank you for all of your comments on the last post! I am feeling much more like a normal person, knowing that you all don't have "house beautiful" non stop. -However, I didn't hear from my sister, and that is because I am pretty sure her house is always "house beautiful" boy can that girl run a household..Did I mention she has a son too? Goodness.

You know how you have all of these fun blogs that you read sometimes daily and you just feel like you know the person? Either you are connected to the blogger via a mutual friend, or just found it through another person's blog and really liked it so you added it onto your list right?

Well I do that occassionally and I don't really think much about it, most are cooking people or interior design geniuses, anyways that's besides the point.

I was out to dinner with Scott one night and saw a fellow blogger. I know this person, but it is kind of a friend of a friend type situation. But when they walked through the door of the restaurant, I almost waved spastically and said hello "first, last /blog name" -of course I did. But thank goodness I realized that the person really wouldn't recognize who I was and thankfully I calmed down and didn't wave. Just regained composure. ha ha.

Blogging can sometimes make for some socially awkward situations...thank goodness that time it was averted.

oh, sister! i thought you had stopped blogging...oh, wait I stopped blogging.

i'm glad you're on here!

and i didn't comment on the last post...because i didn't read it.

you know i'm a freak o' nature. i think you just get used to keeping things picked up.

gretchen rubin is a blogger that i read. she says that you should employ the 1 minute rule. If it can be done in 1 - 3 minutes, go ahead and tackle it. most of us can empty a dishwasher or fold a load of towels in 3 minutes. ditto for things like clearing off a bathroom counter. but if it takes more than 3 minutes, it's ok to put it on the list and get to it later.

balance, sister. it's all about balance.
